» Counselor Troi has gone home! Already
this is a quality episode...
» A corridor with stripey walls! Makes a change...
» Q appears in impressive "three snake heads on a shiny
ball" mode.
» Worf growls at Q like an adorable little puppy. Aww!
» Picard recaps the entire plot of the pilot for newcomers.
» Q strands the crew on an unconvincing studio set, and interferes
with their minds to make them believe they are on an actual planet.
The fiend!
» Q serves everyone drinks. Riker has lemonade, while Geordi
looks like he's having absinthe. Would have thought it would be
the other way round, but okay...
» Picard gets trapped on the bridge with Tasha. Have we got
to the part where everyone's wishes are granted already?!
» Tasha cries like a girl. So much for strong female characters...
» Worf describes the Napoleonic guards as 'vicious animal
things', with absolutely no trace of irony.
» Q and Picard quote Shakespeare at each other, saving Roddenberry
from writing dialogue for a few minutes.
» Q disguises himself as Data, but entirely misses the opportunity
to cop off with Tasha.
» Q wants to understand Riker's 'need and hunger'. That shouldn't
take long...
» Wesley is stabbed through the heart with a spear! BEST
EPISODE EVER!!!
» Riker promises not to use his Q-powers. I give it five
minutes...
» More dead children. What good, wholesome family entertainment
this isn't.
» Riker calls Picard 'Jean-Luc'! For the first and only time?
» Q appears dressed as a monk, or possibly as the Emperor
from Star Wars.
» Riker has had long talks with Wesley, apparently. WHY?!
» Wesley turns into a big strapping man. "Not bad!"
says Geordi appreciatively. Hang on, whose wish WAS this, anyway?!
» Geordi can see! "You're as beautiful as I imagined!"
he says to Tasha. Beverley clears her throat. "And Doctor...you're
as old as I imagined..."
» Riker produces a Klingon woman for Worf. He turns her down,
possibly because a real Klingon woman would never wear fishnet tights.
» Wesley wants to turn back to his real age. Possibly because
he's still stuck with a 13-year-old's voice.
» "Perhaps some day we will discover that time and space
are simpler than the human equation." Er, right, Jean-Luc...maybe
you should just stick to Shakespeare, eh?
