» Synopsis

At an altitude of 190 miles, the crew of the Space Shuttle Odyssey perform a tricky but routine mission with an orbiting satellite.

Suddenly a bright flash of light occurs and the shuttle's monitors show nothing but static. Angela Perry, the shuttle's pilot witnesses the Earth fiery destruction before being knocked unconscious. Matt Walsh, the shuttle's mission specialist is killed. As the shuttle stabilises, the Earth is nowhere to be seen, with only a limited supply of Oxygen, the crew slowly drift to sleep.

The crew awaken to a white expanse, greeted by an Alien known as 'the Seeker'. He tells them that countless civilisations have met the same fate and that they are the first survivors he has encountered.

He offers them a way to go back, to change things - with Angela facing imminent death, mission commander Chuck Taggart agrees to have their conscious minds sent back.

The crew wake up, to a world five years gone. Slowly they begin to re-adjust and contact each other. Taggart, at their first meeting tells the crew that the satellite they deployed was not all they thought it to be.
